17 Days: The Shocking True Story of Dan's Cancer Diagnosis (Wordcatcher Real Life Stories and Biographies) By Anne Logan Huxtable

A very honest book

This book had me in tears but I managed to read it in one sitting. To lose a son is a parent's worse nightmare and to lose a son within such a short space of time is literally heart breaking. Alot of it rings true....my mom lost her son when he was 20 years old to cancer, I was too young to understand what was actually happening. After reading this book it made me realise why my Mom is the person she is today and how her loss has affected the whole family. I would like to thank Anne Logan Huxtable for getting Dan's story out there, he would be so proud of you. Heart breaking account of a mothers torment watching her child die in front of her.

This book recounts the tragic story of Dan Logan, bright student and rugby player, and his sudden, unexpected battle with cancer. It follows his diagnosis, and subsequent treatment and care in three different hospitals, all over the space of seventeen days. It is an honest, emotional account of how a vibrant young man fought cancer in a brutally short space of time, and the harrowing effect it has had on the people around him. 17 Days: The Shocking True Story of Dan's Cancer Diagnosis (Wordcatcher Real Life Stories and Biographies)
