Untamed

ONE INTENSE READ!!! Whoa! Fast and furious is definitely the way to go. Yep, talk about falling hard. I do not even know where to begin. I thought the last book was fantastic. Again, this is an unexpected delight in itself. I know, I cannot make up my mind. So, choose them all. You cannot go wrong here, trust me on that. This is a page-turner, smooth flowing wild ride with all the thrills and explosions you can handle. Kindle Edition This book was similar to the other books in this series but different. I guess we never think about the hard hitting mafia men to have insecurities and be vulnerable. Adamo has past hurts that factor in and Fiorella was thinking she would get to work side by side with him. Typical of the series there is drama and chaos but things work out. Glad they got their happily ever after.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. 123 Fiorella finds her love. But does Adamo?
Zio is going to be married. But will his bride be what he wants and needs? This and more is explained in this story about Zio Adamo. I am actually a bit sad about the end of this series, even if I greatly enjoyed reading this. Perhaps we can find a far cousin somewhere?...
Enjoy the read!

I received a free copy of this book from the author via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I've not read any of the books in the Blood and Honor series and only read 1 or 2 other books by Joanna Rose. This book was a bit of a hot mess for me. Adamo is 40 something mafia capo, the man should be an intensely confident alpha male, but instead seems like an insecure teenager. He can't believe an 18 year old virign could find him attractive. Fiorella is the 18 year old, who is often calling her 40+year old husband a foolish man and expects him to allow her all sorts of authority over his familia when they hardly know each other. I couldn't finish the book and that rarely happens, especially when I accept an ARC. This was not at all believable.

Young Virgin Bride + Older Mafia Crime Boss = One Hot AF Romance

Adamo Parisi, with steel blue eyes and the gravitas befitting a Mafia capo in his forties, was known for being tough.

As in take no prisoners tough.

But when beautiful, young Fiorella arrives from Italy to take her place as his arranged bride, sight unseen, Adamo finds himself struggling to reconcile his old-world notions of marriage with the fiery, sexy and opinionated woman before him.

Fiorella is understandably nervous upon her arrival in America. She has never even set eyes on her husband-to-be and their first meeting is ... less than successful. But Adamo awakens something in her-something wild and all-consuming.

All of the odds are against them: his rigid expectations, her inexperience, their age gap and a dangerous clash over mob turf rumbling around them.

Will the electric sexual tension between the two be enough to overcome the odds? Or is this arranged marriage experiment doomed from the start?

UNTAMED CAPO is the fourth book in the BLOOD AND HONOR series by Bestselling Author Joanna Rose. This Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance is a standalone suspense novel, complete with a guaranteed HEA and no cliffhangers. Untamed Capo (Blood and Honor #4)

Such an interesting take of the potentially dark mafia romance genre... not dark at all. a bit gooey and twee if anything!

The boss here is human, with vulnerabilities about his age, about a young beautiful soon to be wife that couldn't possibily settle for hijm... yet he is so good to her (eventually once he realises that a good little wife, silent and pliable she is not). The lead female is fiesty and determined, and yet attracted at once to her soon to be husband. It is genuine and not forced at all, they fit so well together.

I read this after the before any of the other books in the series - while I was a little confused by other characters, it made me want to go read their stories, and did not detract from the main focus of the book too much.

The betrayal was unexpected (not her! Shs is awesome), and it is resolved a bit too quickly in my opinion to really garner any true sense of fear or possible loss... but if you wanted a light mafia romance, with a HEA - this is perfect! Untamed Capo (Blood and Honor #4) I don't speak Italian...

So besides so many other terrible issues with this book, the FMC is italian and keeps saying things in Italian with no translation, and if you're like me, who wants to know what's being said you have to keep translating it through google. It became extremely annoying.

But that's not the biggest turn off. Adamo is supposed to be this 40+ mafia capo, yet he was so insecure, he calls himself a 'loser' in the prologue for believing a young beautiful girl would really want him for a husband. Also, after finding out Fiorella is a virgin, he runs away from her, even when she is throwing herself at him, begging him to take her, he feels she might regret it one day because he's too old and not handsome enough. My God, have some self respect and grow some balls!! He's an old fashioned mafia capo, taking over others territories, but he can't screw his fiancee.

Gees, and don't get me started on little miss 18 yo virgin, Fiorella, who thinks she should be accepted as the mafia queen running things right beside him. Excited, thinking about getting into danger on purpose to show Adamo, she can be a valuable part of the mafia team. She repeatedly calls him a fool or foolish man, and will give you whiplash as she vacillates between not being able to stand the way he treats her (by not putting her in charge with him, you know after only knowing her 3 days or so) to deciding he is who she will love and wants to have her virginity.

This was so ridiculous and juvenile. I couldn't even finish. I had to DNF around the halfway mark when Adamo finally decided to be with Fiorella, but said she would have to take control. What kind of whiny little non-manly mafia kingpin is this?! Then to top off the terrible writing and dialogue, the sex scene was written in this weird non-descriptive way, trying to sound sexy without being explicit. This was not good.

Even though this is an ARC review, I will always shoot you straight. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. 123 The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!
Bad boy….check
Bod boy’s crazy brother/friend…check
Bad boy’s Kryptonie…check ….check and check
By the time you’ve figured out who is who and how deep hate can run, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!
Can’t say I didn’t warn you.
(Believe me when I say you won’t put it down until the last page is read…you will find yourself getting upset cause someone called, texted or bothered you while reading this one, you will find yourself up at ungodly hours just to finish it knowing you have to be at work early (like 3am early) the very next day) YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
Fiorella has been groomed her whole life to be the bride of a man she has never even seen, spoken to and pretty much knows nothing about so when she is put on a plane to him, to a country she has never been all in the name of business and it isn’t her business but yet here she it. Adamo is sexy as all get out older guys, he hasn’t waited on her as his bride in any shape form or fashion but the moment he lays eyes on her something in him shifts. The chemistry is instant for them and just as intense although, they go at each other like two cants and two dogs, but the magnetic pull keeps both wanting each other and grounded so when she is kidnapped, he will do what he does best to bring her back, but can two complete strangers have happiness?
Adamo was a Mafia capo in his forties. He was strong, relentless and unforgiving. This is the fourth book in the BLOOD AND HONOR Series but is read as a standalone. Fiorella is his young arranged bride and neither were prepared for the explosive chemistry between the two. But things were choppy for various reasons. The age gap, her innocence, her strong personality and his expectations. There was no shortage of danger or drama with the mob wars that continued to surround them. The characters had a lot of substance, personality and backbone. A meeting of the minds and bodies. This book is intense at times and entertaining at others. A great read that is hard to put down. I read a free book via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.
